WHY WE CAN CARRY OUT MANUFACTURER APPROVED SERVICING. The "2002 Block Exemption" legislation enables independent garages to service, repair and maintain vehicles that are under manufacturer's warranty and, as long as the work carried out is in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and only genuine replacement parts are used, the vehicles warranty will remain valid.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU, THE CUSTOMER. We are a great believer in choice, but in the past, if you bought a new BMW for example, you had no choice but to have it Serviced and Maintained by a BMW dealer if you wanted to keep the warranty on your car in place. Meaning you were tied to the dealer for many years ( the warranty period of your car ), even if you would have preferred to use your local garage. With the Block Exemption Legislation in place you have been given back the "choice". What it does not mean however, is that all independent garages can now Service your car. Only a few like us, that have made the commitment to invest in the same training for their staff and equipment that the dealer's use, are capable of looking after your car for you.
BOOKING YOUR CAR IN FOR A SERVICE. Give us a call and we will take a few details on your vehicle, mileage, registration etc. With this information we can determine which Service is due, on some vehicles the "On-Board" computer will tell you, via the Dash. which Service is required. With this information we can make sure all the correct parts are ordered and ready for your vehicle. We will arrange a date for the Service that is convenient for you. We can collect the vehicle from your home or place of work and, when the work is completed, deliver the vehicle back to you. Alternatively, you can bring the vehicle to us and we can either give you a courtesy car or take you back home or to work.
WHAT WE DO ON THE SERVICE. Whilst your vehicle is with us it will have the required Service carried out exactly to the manufacturer's specification, using the same specialist tools that you would find in the dealer's workshop. If your vehicle needs any extra work carried out over and above the Service, we will call you for authorisation and you are welcome to visit the workshop to inspect what we have found. Once the Service has been completed we will stamp the Service Book and print a full report of the Service for your records. The final stage is to call you to arrange delivery / collection.
